You can use the capacitive touch sensor on all the materials except the conductor materials. For example, it is possible to use above sensor on plastic materials such as acrylic material, PC, ABS , even in wood panel, glass and slate. But you have to check the sensitivity depending on the material, for there is difference of induced electricity among them.

  How can we choose the right touch sensitivity?

Depending on PC material, the standard module (among product) ranges from 1.0~1.5t, to 2.5~3.0t You have to adjust the time constant of circuit to match using sensitivity in IC application. When we make our prototype of the product, do inform us the kind of material & thickness that you want. So we can recommend the proper product & circuit.

We recommend that you may use the standard module product in 5V. IC Application used? 2.5V~5V.
