"The First Development for Multi Touch Screen Sensor"
‘Multi Touch Screen Sensor’ is the first developed by AD Semiconductor which is cost effective and possible for double touch at the same moment.
AD Semiconductor (CEO: S.C. Lee) announced to develop exclusive controller chip (Model: TSD2015RM) that can do multi touch on 11.August.2008. The AD Semiconductor is making an application for resistive type in Patent Cooperation Treaty. Resistive multi touch technique has various strength of capacitive and resistive both.
Capacitive is possible to multi point recognition which recognizes electric flow but it makes malfunction in divers noise environment. And resistive type has a problem in sensing only one point. CEO (S.C. Lee) of AD Semiconductor announced, “We are successful in resistive touch screen that divides maximum three hundreds cell of 20X15 and makes embody for multi touch function.
Resistive touch screen is single touch type that recognizes pressure signal only but it overcomes to put touch functions to each single cell of screen after dividing as a checkerboard. Specially, it does not have malfunctions even part of palm touching to tablet PC and others which are directly writing products.
